Synq is operated by Claps Artificial Intelligence (“Synq”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, retain, and delete user data when you use the Synq mobile application, including data accessed from third-party calendar and academic platforms.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to provide core scheduling and calendar functionality.
a. User-Provided Data
Name and profile information
Profile photos / selfies (optional, used only for profile display)
b. Third-Party Account Data (OAuth & Integrations)
If you connect third-party services, Synq may access data from platforms such as:
Google Calendar
Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365
Canvas
Blackboard
Other calendar or academic scheduling platforms
Depending on the integration, this may include:
Calendar events
Class schedules
Event titles, dates, times, and related metadata
Synq accesses only the data explicitly authorized by you and limited to the minimum scopes required.
2. Purpose of Data Use
Third-party calendar and academic data is used solely to:
Sync and display events, classes, and schedules within the Synq app
Provide a unified calendar view
Improve scheduling and productivity features
We do not:
Use third-party user data for advertising
Sell or share user data
Use user data to train AI or machine-learning models
3. Data Protection and Security Measures
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect user data, including:
Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all API communications
Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
Authentication and authorization mechanisms
Least-privilege access to third-party data
Only systems necessary for synchronization and display can access connected account data.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
a. Retention
Synq does not store third-party calendar or academic data long-term
Data may be temporarily cached to support syncing and app performance
Data is retained only while the user’s account is active and connected
b. Deletion
Users may request deletion or disconnect integrations at any time by contacting hey@synq.app or through in-app settings.
Upon:
Account deletion, or
Disconnection of a third-party service
Synq will:
Revoke access tokens
Permanently delete any stored third-party data within a reasonable timeframe
Retain no user data beyond standard short-term system backups
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal or third-party data with external parties, except:
When required by law
To comply with valid legal requests
6. Third-Party Services
Synq relies on trusted infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting, authentication, and database services) that process data only on our behalf and under strict confidentiality and security obligations.
7. User Rights
You may:
View and manage connected accounts
Revoke access to third-party services at any time
Request access, correction, or deletion of your data

8. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” Synq disclaims all warranties and is not liable for damages arising from use of the app to the extent permitted by law.
